REVIEWS FOR THE CHRISSY FERGUSON MYSTERIES
“
This is a brilliantly written book.
Great characters - people you would enjoy spending time with. Plot has lots of twists and turns with all manner of surprises.
“
The story builds around the frailties of the female protagonist. Fast paced and full of suspense.
As the story developed I was a little bit worried that the story resolution might venture towards the fanciful. However, the threads cleverly weave together in unexpected and satisfying ways. Barely put it down and eagerly awaiting the next instalment!
“
Could not stop reading this book keeps you on your toes It did not end the way I thought it would. Will be following your books great writing.

About
Inspired by her Scottish home, C.L. Janet (Clare) writes murder mysteries set against the dramatic, breath-taking and sometimes unforgiving backdrop of the Highland Perthshire. Complimented for her ability to draw readers into the lives of her characters, Clare uses her diverse life experiences to weave enthralling narratives that place the reader at the heart of the story.
Born in South Yorkshire to a working-class family, Clare dreamed big, leaving her native Doncaster for London at 17yrs of age to study ballet. Dance careers are short and as age crept up, she began to look for something beyond pointe shoes and performances, eventually returning to school to study for a Doctorate in Psychology.
Since obtaining her Ph.D. sixteen years ago, Clare has worked as an academic, lecturing to university students and authoring numerous scientific papers. An enduring dream to pursue more creative writing came to fruition after a family tragedy caused her to re-evaluate the important things in life. Now, she combines the shaping of young minds with writing novels and spending time with the loves of her life – her husband Ian and Nessie, the rather noisy bearded collie.
